Founded in 1996, Belavia is the flag carrier of Belarus offering full-service short- and medium-haul flights across the CIS and to selected European and Middle Eastern destinations. Advantages include national connectivity, competitive regional fares and simple point-to-point routing; disadvantages are a relatively aging, small fleet, limited long-haul reach, variable onboard comfort and punctuality, and operational constraints from international airspace restrictions and sanctions that have curtailed some European services. It is not a low-cost carrier and does not hold a widely recognized Skytrax rating.
