Founded as Aer Arann in 1970 and rebranded as Stobart Air in 2014, the carrier operated regional scheduled services and wet-lease/franchise flights for larger airlines (notably Aer Lingus Regional) before entering liquidation in June 2021. Advantages included strong regional connectivity across Ireland and the UK, close partnerships with major carriers and competitive fares; disadvantages were a very small fleet, limited long-haul potential, constrained network and periodic operational and financial instability. It was a regional, no-frills feeder airline and does not hold a Skytrax rating.
