Opened in 1959, Vladivostok International Airport is the largest airport in Russia’s Far East and the main gateway to Primorsky Krai, serving a single modern passenger terminal with separate domestic and international sections. Situated roughly 40 km from downtown Vladivostok on the coast of the Sea of Japan, the airport offers regular express bus services, taxis and a rail link to Vladivostok’s main station for easy city connections. As a regional hub for Aurora and a base for several Far East carriers, VVO handles a mix of domestic and international routes; domestic and regional flights are generally affordable while long-haul international connections can be pricier — search cheap flights to and from Vladivostok to compare options.
