Mudanjiang Airport

Mudanjiang Hailang Airport (MDG), opened in the late 1980s, is a small regional airport serving Mudanjiang and northeastern Heilongjiang with one main terminal and a compact layout that keeps transfers quick and easy. As the primary gateway for travelers heading to nearby attractions like Jingpo Lake and the Russian border, MDG handles mainly domestic flights operated by carriers such as Air China, China Eastern, Hainan Airlines and several budget Chinese airlines; it isn’t a major hub but functions as a regional base for select services. The airport is a short drive from Mudanjiang city center with shuttle buses, taxis and regional bus links, and is generally considered affordable for domestic travel with competitively priced fares.
