Newark Liberty International Airport, 3 Brewster Road, Newark, New Jersey 07114, United States
Newark Liberty International Airport, opened in 1928, is a major international gateway to the New York metro area with three passenger terminals and a busy mix of domestic and long-haul flights. As one of the region’s principal airports it handles tens of millions of passengers and significant cargo traffic, and serves as a primary hub for United Airlines with a large United Express regional operation. Ground access is convenient: AirTrain links the terminals to NJ Transit and Amtrak at the nearby rail station, plus express buses, taxis and the New Jersey Turnpike make Manhattan reachable in roughly 20–40 minutes depending on traffic. Fares can be competitive thanks to heavy airline competition, though on-site food and parking tend to be pricey for travelers.
