LaGuardia Airport (LGA), originally opened in 1939, is New York City’s close-in airport serving mainly domestic and short-haul routes from a compact, high-traffic campus; its recently modernized, single consolidated terminal features four concourses handling most flights to and from the tri-state area. Located about 8 miles from Midtown Manhattan, LGA is well connected by MTA buses (including the Q70 limited), express shuttles, taxis and rideshares for quick access to Queens and the city, making it a practical choice for business travelers. Delta operates a major hub here, while American, Southwest and JetBlue maintain large presences.
