Namangan Airport

Namangan Airport, opened in the mid-1950s (around 1955), is a compact regional airport serving eastern Uzbekistan with a single passenger terminal and one runway, focused on domestic links and occasional regional services. As the primary air gateway for Namangan city and the Fergana Valley, it’s important locally rather than a major international hub; Uzbekistan Airways and smaller regional carriers operate most scheduled flights. The airport lies roughly 10–15 km from downtown Namangan and is reachable by taxi, shared minibuses (marshrutkas) and limited bus services. With modest facilities and lower fees than larger airports in Uzbekistan, it’s generally a budget-friendly option for travelers.
