Luxembourg Airport

Luxembourg Airport (IATA: LUX), the country’s international gateway at Findel, opened in the 1930s and today operates from a single passenger terminal that handles both compact passenger flows and one of Europe’s busiest cargo operations. Located roughly 6 km northeast of Luxembourg City, the airport offers easy access via the A1 motorway, regular city bus services and airport shuttles, plus taxis and car rental for cross-border trips into Belgium, France and Germany. A key hub for Cargolux and the base for national carrier Luxair, LUX is relatively small but strategically important; prices tend to be mid-range to slightly expensive compared with larger regional airports, though occasional cheap fares are available.
