Kannur International Airport (IATA: CNN), opened in 2018, is a single‑terminal international gateway serving the North Malabar region of Kerala and nearby Karnataka districts. Compact but modern, Kannur handles regional and Middle East traffic and is increasingly important for travelers to Kannur, Kasaragod and Wayanad. The airport is about 25–30 km from Kannur city via NH66 and is well connected by KSRTC and private shuttle buses, taxis and app cabs, with Kannur railway station reachable in under an hour.
