Mangalore Airport

Mangaluru International Airport (IXE), opened in the early 1950s, is the coastal gateway to Karnataka’s Mangalore and Udupi districts. The airport operates from a single passenger terminal handling both domestic and international flights and is a medium-sized regional airport known for its hilltop setting and vital role in connecting India’s west coast to the rest of the country. Located about 13 km from Mangalore city centre, IXE is easily reachable by taxis, app cabs, regular bus services and road links to Mangalore Junction and Central railway stations. Generally more affordable than India’s largest metro airports for domestic fares, the airport sees frequent services from IndiGo, Air India and SpiceJet and seasonal international connections to the Middle East.
