Hindon Airport

Hindon Airport opened for civilian flights in 2019 as a civil enclave at the Hindon Air Force Station in Ghaziabad, serving as a compact regional gateway for the Delhi NCR. The airport operates from a single small terminal and handles mostly short-haul UDAN and low-cost services, making it a convenient, budget-friendly alternative to crowded Delhi airports. Located roughly 25–35 km from central Delhi, Hindon is easily reached by road with taxis and app-based cabs from nearby Ghaziabad rail and metro connections; there’s no heavy rail link on-site. It’s primarily used by regional carriers and has hosted operators such as Alliance Air and FlyBig.
