Fukuoka Airport (FUK), opened in the 1940s, is a compact yet busy gateway to Kyushu serving both domestic and international routes from a single main terminal with separate domestic and international halls. As one of Japan’s top regional airports, it offers extremely convenient access—just a short walk from the subway station on the Kuko Line with quick rides to Hakata (about 5–10 minutes) and Tenjin—plus airport buses and taxis to the city and surrounding areas.
