Founded in 2014, Thai Vietjet Air is a low-cost carrier and Thai subsidiary of Vietnam’s VietJet, operating short-haul domestic and regional routes from Bangkok and secondary Thai cities. Strengths include highly competitive fares, frequent promotional sales, a young Airbus A320-family fleet and an expanding point-to-point network backed by its parent. Drawbacks are a no-frills cabin with many paid add-ons, limited long-haul options, occasional punctuality and service inconsistency, and fewer premium amenities.
