SATA (founded 1941) is the Azores-based carrier operating regional and international services under the Azores Airlines brand. Strengths include strong connectivity between the islands and mainland Portugal, seasonal transatlantic links, generally attentive cabin service and competitive fares; recent fleet updates have improved in-flight comfort. Weaknesses are a limited global network beyond its niche, seasonal capacity swings and occasional weather-related delays in the North Atlantic.
