Founded in 2017 as a subsidiary of Air France, Joon was positioned as a hybrid carrier targeting younger travelers, with low-cost short-haul fares and full-service long-haul cabins. Strengths included competitive pricing on select European and intercontinental routes, modern branding and ancillary revenue options. Weaknesses were a small, limited network, mixed onboard service and punctuality, and brand confusion; the label was reintegrated into Air France in 2019.
