HOP! was created in 2013 as Air France’s regional unit, formed by consolidation of several smaller carriers. It serves short-haul domestic and nearby international routes, acting primarily as a feeder network. Strengths include broad regional connectivity, frequent short-sector frequencies and generally competitive fares within the Air France system. Weaknesses are limited onboard comfort and premium options, no long-haul network, and occasional punctuality and disruption-handling issues. It is not a low-cost carrier but a basic regional operator; no widely listed Skytrax rating is known.
