Founded in 2006 (originally CR Airways in 2001), Hong Kong Airlines is a Hong Kong-based full-service carrier operating Airbus narrow- and wide-body aircraft. Advantages include competitive regional fares, a convenient Hong Kong hub presence, generally attentive cabin service and relatively comfortable cabins on A330/A350 equipment. Disadvantages are a limited, recently scaled-back route network, inconsistent punctuality and reliability amid past financial restructuring, and reduced long-haul frequency. It is not a low-cost carrier, offers mid-market full-service amenities, and holds a three-star Skytrax rating.
