Founded in 2007, Firefly is a Malaysian regional low-cost carrier and subsidiary of Malaysia Aviation Group operating turboprops and small jets on domestic and nearby international routes. Strengths include competitive fares, practical schedules for short hops and useful links to secondary airports (Subang and Penang), making it convenient for regional travel. Weaknesses are a relatively small fleet and limited network, fewer onboard amenities and premium services, and occasional punctuality variability. The airline is not currently listed with a Skytrax rating.
