Buta Airways, founded in 2017, is an Azerbaijani low-cost carrier and subsidiary of the national airline. Its main advantages are competitive fares, a focused regional and domestic network out of Baku, and streamlined no-frills operations that provide practical short-haul connectivity. Disadvantages include a smaller fleet and limited long-haul routes compared with full-service carriers, basic onboard amenities, and occasional punctuality and capacity constraints. It is not rated by Skytrax.
