Avianca, founded in 1919, is Colombia's flag carrier and one of the world's oldest airlines. A full-service carrier, it operates an extensive Latin American and transcontinental network from hubs in Bogotá and San Salvador, with Star Alliance connectivity and a traditional cabin product including business class on long-haul services. Strengths include broad route coverage, competitive fares for a legacy carrier, and the LifeMiles loyalty program.
