Air Mauritius, founded in 1967, is the national carrier of Mauritius operating a full-service network linking the island with Africa, Europe, Asia and Australia. Advantages include full-service cabins with an emphasis on comfort and Mauritian hospitality, generally competitive leisure fares and direct long-haul links. Drawbacks are a relatively small fleet, seasonal route focus and limited frequencies that can constrain connections and affect punctuality.
