Founded in 2001, Afriqiyah Airways is Libya’s state-owned carrier based in Tripoli. Operating as a full-service airline with economy and business-class seating rather than a low-cost model, it has a focused network linking Libya with African, Middle Eastern and select European destinations and a fleet that has included Airbus A320 and A330 types.
