Helping travelers to find the best flight offers

Tripoli International Airport (TIP), opened in 1978, was long Libya’s largest international gateway with roughly two passenger terminals and extensive apron space, serving as a hub for Libyan Airlines and Afriqiyah Airways. Located about 25 km (15 miles) south of central Tripoli near Qasr Bin Ghashir, TIP historically offered road and taxi links to the city though regular public-transport options are limited. The airport has been largely out of regular commercial service since 2014 due to conflict damage, so many travelers search instead for flights to nearby Mitiga Airport; when TIP does operate, fares have typically been on the affordable side for regional carriers but can spike with limited schedules—check current status before booking.
