Zaragoza Airport

Zaragoza Airport (ZAZ), opened in the mid-1950s, is a medium-sized regional airport and important cargo and military airbase serving the Aragon region. With a single passenger terminal, it handles modest scheduled and seasonal services alongside significant freight operations, making it one of Spain’s key cargo gateways. Located roughly 10–15 km west of Zaragoza city centre, the airport is easily reached via the A-2 motorway with regular shuttle buses, taxi services and car hire linking to Zaragoza’s main rail hub in under 30 minutes. Generally considered budget-friendly for travelers, ZAZ is not a major commercial hub but supports Spanish Air and Space Force operations and frequent cargo carriers, with occasional routes by low-cost and charter airlines.
