Windsor International Airport

Windsor International Airport (YQG), established in the late 1920s, is a compact, single-terminal airport serving Windsor, Ontario and the Canada–U.S. border region. The one passenger terminal handles mainly regional and low-cost carriers—recent service has included Air Canada Express, WestJet and Flair plus seasonal charters—though YQG is not a major airline hub. Conveniently located a short drive from downtown Windsor with direct road links to Highway 3 and quick access to the Ambassador Bridge and Detroit, the airport is served by local buses, taxis and ride-shares. With smaller crowds and competitive fares, YQG is generally considered an affordable, traveler-friendly option.
