Wawi Airport

Wawi Airport, opened in 2001, is a compact regional airport with a single passenger terminal that serves as the main air gateway for the Wawi area and nearby coastal communities. Though small in scale, it plays an important role for domestic travel and short-haul connections, with a handful of daily flights operated by regional turboprops and low-cost carriers. Ground access is straightforward: regular shuttle buses, taxis and occasional regional coach services link the airport to the nearest town (around a 20–30 minute transfer) and the provincial capital. With simple facilities and lower fees than major hubs, Wawi Airport is generally a budget-friendly option and also functions as a base for several domestic operators, making it easy to find cheap flights and convenient connections.
