Vnukovo Airport (VKO), opened in 1941, is one of Moscow’s three major airports and sits roughly 28 km southwest of the city center; it operates with two main passenger terminals plus VIP and business aviation facilities and handles a mix of domestic and international traffic. Well connected by the Aeroexpress rail link to Kievsky Rail Terminal (about 35–45 minutes), regular buses and highway links, Vnukovo is convenient for travelers heading to southwest Moscow and nearby suburbs.
