The Pau-Pyrenees International Airport

Pau-Pyrénées International Airport, established in the early 20th century (the facility at Uzein dates back to the interwar years), is a compact regional gateway serving Béarn and the northern Pyrenees with a single, easy-to-navigate passenger terminal. Handling several hundred thousand passengers a year, it’s an important link for ski resorts and business travel to Pau and Tarbes, with regular services to Paris and seasonal European routes. Located about 10 km from Pau city centre, it’s reachable by car, taxi, regional buses and rental cars in roughly 15–20 minutes. Fares tend to be budget-friendly thanks to low-cost carriers and regional competition, and the airport hosts regular operations by Air France/HOP and a number of low-cost and regional airlines.
