Snohomish County - Paine Field

Paine Field opened in 1936 and today operates a single, compact passenger terminal (opened for commercial service in 2019), serving as a convenient regional gateway for Everett and northern Seattle. Best known for the adjacent Boeing Everett Factory, this small but busy airport handles a mix of commercial and delivery flights and offers quicker check-ins and shorter walks than Seattle-Tacoma. Ground access is straightforward via I-5 and WA-526 with Community Transit buses, shuttles and ample rideshare/parking options linking to downtown Everett and Seattle (about 25–35 miles). Fares are often competitive for regional routes; Alaska and United provide regular service, though PAE is not a major airline hub.
