Shenyang Taoxian International Airport

Shenyang Taoxian International Airport (SHE), opened in 1989, is the main air gateway for Liaoning and Northeast China and handles a mix of domestic and international traffic from two passenger terminals. Medium-sized but busy, Taoxian links Shenyang with major Chinese cities and regional destinations, and is well connected to the city by airport express buses, taxis and a direct metro/rail link that makes the 20–30 minute trip to downtown convenient. Generally considered moderately priced for domestic travel, the airport functions as a regional hub and focus city for several Chinese carriers, including China Southern, Hainan Airlines and China Eastern, with frequent services and seasonal international routes.
