Scottsdale Airport (IATA: SCF), opened in 1942, is a busy general aviation reliever serving Scottsdale and the Greater Phoenix area with a single terminal area and several full-service FBOs rather than traditional commercial terminals. Compact but important for business and private traffic, SCF sits minutes from Old Town Scottsdale and Scottsdale Fashion Square and is easily reached via Loop 101, Scottsdale Road, taxis, ride‑share and limited Valley Metro bus links that connect to Phoenix and Sky Harbor. Not a hub for scheduled airlines, it’s a base for private and corporate aviation (Million Air, Signature, Atlantic Aviation) and is generally considered an upscale, slightly more expensive option for travelers compared with nearby commercial airports.
