Sayak Airport (Siargao) (IAO), located in Del Carmen, Surigao del Norte, first opened in the mid-20th century and was modernized with upgrades in the 2010s; this small regional airport has a single terminal and serves as the main air gateway to Siargao’s surf towns and resorts. Compact but busy during peak season, Sayak offers regular flights from Manila and Cebu and connects by shuttle vans, tricycles or motorbike taxis to General Luna (about 40–60 minutes) and ferry links toward Surigao City. Generally affordable for travelers with modest on-site prices, it is served mainly by Cebu Pacific, PAL/PAL Express and boutique carriers like SkyJet rather than acting as a major hub.
