Laguindingan International Airport

Laguindingan International Airport (IATA: CGY) opened in 2013 and operates from a single passenger terminal, serving as the main gateway to Cagayan de Oro, Iligan and much of Northern Mindanao. This medium-sized international airport in Misamis Oriental replaced the older Lumbia field and handles a steady mix of domestic services and seasonal international flights; it also functions as a regional base for carriers like Cebu Pacific and PAL Express. Located about 40–50 km from downtown Cagayan de Oro, Laguindingan is reachable by airport shuttles, vans, taxis and private transfers in roughly 45–60 minutes, and is generally considered budget-friendly compared with major Philippine hubs.
