North Front Airport (GIB), Gibraltar’s compact international gateway opened in 1939, operates from a single passenger terminal and a short, distinctive runway that reaches the land border with Spain; its small size makes it an important regional link rather than a major hub. Easily reachable from Gibraltar town and neighbouring La Línea de la Concepción by taxis and regular bus services, the airport offers convenient connections for travelers heading to southern Spain or onward to Málaga. Not a hub for large networks, it hosts scheduled services from carriers such as British Airways and easyJet and retains an RAF presence; fares can be higher than larger hubs, though low‑cost options appear seasonally.
