Malaga Airport

Opened in 1919, Málaga–Costa del Sol Airport is the principal gateway to Andalusia and the Costa del Sol, handling millions of visitors each year in a single passenger complex split into three concourses (T1–T3). It’s a mid-to-large airport with strong seasonal traffic serving Málaga city, Marbella, Torremolinos and surrounding towns; connections include the Cercanías C1 commuter train, frequent airport buses and coaches, taxis, and direct access via the A-7 motorway. Not a major long-haul hub but a seasonal base for several low-cost carriers, it sees regular Iberia and Vueling services; fares are generally affordable thanks to strong low-cost competition.
