Modesto Municipal Airport

Modesto Municipal Airport, a small regional airfield dating back to the early 20th century (development accelerated in the 1930s), operates from a single compact terminal and serves Modesto and California’s Central Valley with primarily general aviation and limited scheduled service. The airport is an important local gateway for business travelers and flight training rather than a major commercial hub; it offers easy car access from downtown Modesto via local roads and Interstate 99 connections, plus taxis, rideshares and limited public transit and rental cars. Fares can be affordable thanks to low airport fees and regional carriers, though route choices are limited; MOD is not a base for any major airline, instead hosting flight schools, charters and occasional regional operators.
