Laage Airport

Rostock–Laage Airport (IATA: RLG), originally established as a military airfield in the 1930s, is a compact regional airport with a single passenger terminal that handles domestic, European and seasonal charter flights for Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Located about 25 km south of Rostock and within easy reach of the Baltic Sea resorts like Warnemünde, Laage is well connected by shuttle buses, regional coaches, taxis and the nearby A19 motorway—car and rental options are plentiful. Not a major airline hub, RLG is nevertheless popular with low-cost and regional carriers (often including Ryanair and Eurowings) and is generally considered more affordable than Germany’s large international airports.
