Iasi Airport

Iasi Airport, serving Romania’s historic city of Iași and the wider Moldavia region, traces its origins back to 1926 and today operates from one main passenger terminal (with a smaller general-aviation facility on site). As the busiest airport in northeastern Romania it’s a compact but growing international gateway, recently modernized to handle more low-cost connections. Located roughly 8–10 km from the city center, the airport is easy to reach by regular bus services, taxis, ride-hailing and rental cars, making quick city transfers common. Fares are generally affordable thanks to strong low-cost competition—Wizz Air maintains a base here, while Blue Air and TAROM (and seasonal carriers) offer regular routes.
