Honolulu International Airport opened in 1927 and today operates as one large terminal complex with several concourses and a separate commuter terminal, serving as the primary gateway to Oahu and the wider Hawaiian Islands. As Hawaii’s busiest airport, it handles a mix of domestic and transpacific traffic and is the main hub for Hawaiian Airlines, with frequent service from major US and Asian carriers.
