Fes-Saïss Airport, opened in the mid-20th century, is a compact regional gateway serving the historic city of Fes and the surrounding Saïss plain. The airport operates from a single terminal with a manageable layout, making arrivals and departures quick for leisure and business travelers. Located roughly 12–15 km southeast of Fes, it’s well connected by taxis, shared shuttles and hire cars, with regular road links to Meknes and other northern Moroccan destinations. A key entry point for cultural tourism, it hosts Royal Air Maroc’s regional services alongside several low-cost European carriers, and is generally regarded as an affordable airport for budget-minded travelers.
