Craiova Airport

Craiova Airport (CRA), originally established as a military airfield in the mid-20th century and later adapted for civilian traffic, is a compact regional airport with a single passenger terminal that serves Dolj County and the Oltenia region. Though modest in size, it’s an important low-cost gateway for international connections and seasonal charters, with regular services from budget carriers such as Wizz Air and Blue Air alongside occasional domestic links. Located about 7–10 km from Craiova city center, the airport is easily reached by car, taxi, regional buses and occasional shuttle services, and is generally one of Romania’s more affordable options for travelers.
