Founded in 2003, Wings Air is the regional turboprop subsidiary of Indonesia’s Lion Air Group. The low-cost carrier is known for very low fares, frequent short-haul services and a broad domestic network that links major cities with secondary and remote airports using ATR turboprops. Advantages include strong connectivity and competitive pricing for island-hopping; disadvantages include very basic onboard comforts and amenities, limited legroom, occasional variability in punctuality and customer service, and a small international footprint.
