Tunisair, founded in 1948, is Tunisia’s state-owned flag carrier operating a network of short- and medium-haul scheduled services across Europe, North Africa and the Middle East, plus seasonal charter flights. It operates as a full-service airline rather than a low-cost carrier, with economy and limited business-class options. Strengths include a convenient Tunis hub, direct connections to underserved regional markets and generally competitive fares on many routes. Weaknesses include an ageing fleet, uneven onboard service and punctuality, recurring customer-service complaints and financial constraints. The airline does not currently hold an official Skytrax star rating.
