Baggage Rules of Sriwijaya Air Airline
Sriwijaya Air, an Indonesian domestic airline, has specific baggage rules that passengers must adhere to. The rules cover luggage, hand baggage, excess or overweight baggage, and items prohibited for carriage.
Luggage
Each passenger is allowed a maximum of 20kg of checked baggage, and any luggage that exceeds this limit will be charged an additional fee. Moreover, no single piece of checked baggage should exceed 32kg or the maximum allowed size, i.e. 158cm for sum of its length, width, and height.
Hand baggage
The airline allows passengers to carry one item of hand baggage on board that should not surpass 7kg in weight or 115cm in size. If the baggage is too big or too heavy, it will be transferred to the cabin as a checked-in item, with applicable fees.
Excess or overweight baggage
Passengers are informed by Sriwijaya Air that if their luggage exceeds the maximum weight limit allowed, the extra weight will be charged based on their flight routes. For the purpose of luggage being overweight or excess, the charge depends on both the flight destination and booking class of the passenger.
