Provincial Airlines, founded in 1987, is a Canadian regional carrier based in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador serving scheduled and charter routes across Newfoundland, Labrador and the Atlantic provinces. Advantages include a dense regional network, essential links for remote communities, flexible charter capacity and generally reliable operations; disadvantages are limited long-haul connections, a smaller fleet that can cause capacity constraints and weather-related delays, and basic onboard comfort. It operates as a regional (neither low-cost nor premium) airline and does not hold a widely recognized Skytrax rating.
