Founded in 2010, Kan Air was a small Thai regional carrier based in Chiang Mai that operated short-haul, commuter services to secondary domestic destinations using small turboprop aircraft. Advantages included access to niche routes, convenient point-to-point links and flexibility for travelers to reach remote airports. Disadvantages were a very limited fleet and network, basic onboard comfort, variable punctuality and periodic regulatory or financial interruptions affecting reliability. It operated as a low-cost/regional commuter airline and is not rated by Skytrax.
