Etihad Airways: Your Guide to Baggage Regulations

Luggage:
Each customer may carry checked luggage within the free baggage allowance. The weight and number of bags will depend on your travel class and region of travel. For most of their flights, you're allowed:

- Business: 32kg/70lb
- First-class: 40kg/88lb
Note: For flights to/from the United States, Canada, and Brazil, the free baggage allowance is determined by the number of bags checked rather than the weight.
Cabin baggage:
In addition to checked luggage, each passenger is permitted to bring one cabin bag and one personal item aboard their flight. The total weight of your hand luggage must not exceed 7kg/15lb.
Excess or overweight luggage:
If the weight of your checked baggage exceeds the allowance permitted for your class of travel, you may have to pay an excess baggage charge. This varies according to the region of travel and can be expensive, so it's best to pack within your permitted allowance.
Items prohibited for carriage:
