Air Niugini permits 1 personal item that must fit under the seat, up to 3 kg and 40 × 30 × 15 cm; any additional personal item is treated as an extra piece and typically charged about USD 100 at the airport (fees vary by route).

Air Niugini allows Economy passengers 1 carry‑on bag up to 7 kg (15 lb), and Business Class 2 carry‑on bags totaling 14 kg (31 lb); each bag should not exceed 115 cm linear size (about 56 × 36 × 23 cm). A small personal item is typically permitted. Extra or oversized cabin bags are not accepted in the cabin and will be checked at the gate with excess‑baggage charges starting from USD 60.

Air Niugini’s checked baggage allowance on most international itineraries follows the piece concept: Economy includes 1 bag up to 23 kg (50 lb) with maximum linear dimensions of 158 cm (62 in), while Business allows 2 bags up to 32 kg (70 lb) each. An additional checked bag typically costs $100, and any single piece may not exceed 32 kg for handling.
