Zahedan Airport

Zahedan International Airport, opened in the 1960s, is the main air gateway to Iran’s Sistan and Baluchestan province and operates from a compact single passenger terminal with separate cargo and maintenance areas. As a medium-sized regional airport it handles regular domestic services and occasional international links to neighboring countries, making it vital for travel to Zahedan and surrounding towns. Located about 10–15 km from the city center, the airport is accessible by taxi, shared minibuses and regional buses with straightforward road connections. Domestic fares are generally affordable, while international legs can be pricier; carriers such as Iran Air, Mahan Air and Aseman Airlines operate frequent services.
