Yap International Airport

Yap International Airport opened in the mid-20th century (around the 1940s–1960s) and operates from a single small terminal serving the capital Colonia and surrounding islands. As the main air gateway for Yap State in the Federated States of Micronesia, it’s a compact, low‑traffic facility important for inter‑island links and connections to Guam, Palau and nearby atolls. Ground access is simple — short drives, taxis and occasional shuttle services connect the runway to Colonia — but public transport options are limited.
